Christy Cocup - Intern
Christy Cocup, M.S., is a graduate student therapist in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Carson-Newman University. She works with individuals and adults and has a particular interest in supporting clients navigating grief, anxiety, depression, and boundary-related concerns. Christy integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches in her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and narrative therapy.
Christy values creating a warm, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. She believes in meeting clients where they are and working together to foster insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, connecting with family and friends, reading, and relaxing with a good movie.
