Sarah Sanford, LPC-MHSP

Sarah Sanford, LPC-MHSP, is a compassionate and experienced mental health professional with over 14 years of experience working clinically with adults, adolescents, and children. She integrates a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches in her work, including Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Self-Compassion Theory, Play Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).

Sarah’s approach is trauma informed, client-centered, relational, and grounded in creating a safe and compassionate space for meaningful growth and healing.

Sarah works with individuals experiencing CPTSD, PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, life stage issues, grief, and OCD using evidence-based approaches including talk therapy, EMDR, and play therapy. She is EMDR trained through an EMDRIA-accredited instructor, trained in play therapy techniques for children under 11, and professionally trained as a restorative yoga instructor. She also offers trauma intensives for clients seeking focused healing work.

Outside of her practice, she enjoys reading, needlepointing, knitting, exercising, being outdoors, and exploring interior design and art curating.
